LEAVING BARBADOS from the Grantley Adams International Airport will soon be an even more enjoyable experience.  This is because the Airline Association of Barbados have come together to create an Executive Lounge for those persons who travel frequently and want a place to relax prior to boarding their flight.

The new lounge will be located airside and will be accessible only after travellers have gone through security.  Established to cater for first class passengers, the Association is also extending an invitation to Corporate Barbados to sign up for membership.

Scheduled to be opened for business on June 1, 2007, the architecturally designed space will feature several multi-channel televisions, computers with Internet access, wireless internet access for laptop users along with the standard business amenities of fax and photocopying facilities.

While there will be attendants on hand to ensure that the busy traveller’s time in the lounge is as comfortable as possible, the two fully stocked premium bars and refreshments will be self-served.

According to John White, President of the Airlines Association, the lounge is an exciting step forward in responding to the feedback of travelers.  He added, “I believe that our customers will be happy with what we have created, and this facility will make GAIA the envy of the Caribbean.”
